2011 Summer Sunglasses

Hello my readers,
I hope all is well.

Summer is approaching! The sun will indeed shine its beautiful rays. We will gracefully embrace the rays of the sun, by going to the beach, walking in the park, and sitting outside the restaurant. Even though we love the sun, we have to remember to protect our eyes. Too much exposure of UV rays can cause harm to your eyes. A pair of sunglasses will help protect your eyes from UV damage.

Another point to make is that sunglasses come in many styles and colors and some people wear them throughout the year. However, during the summer months, you see more people wearing their beautiful sunglasses.
The styles of sunglasses are ever changing and this year “Round” sunglasses are in and HOT

Here are just a few:

Whatever style of sunglasses you like, wear them as you see fit!

Egg Yolk is good for you

Hello my readers,

I hope all is well.

Before discarding the egg yolk, let me tell you the benefits of the yolk.
courtesty of rossinir.blog.com
An egg yolk contains almost 184 mg. People with normal cholesterol levels may have up to 300 mg daily. This means you could have one egg yolk per day or 7 egg yolks a week. However, per  Joan Salge Blake, MS, RD, LDN says as long as you don’t eat other high cholesterol foods such as red meat and full-fat cheese you can consume this amount of egg yolk.

As Easter is approaching and there will be many decorative eggs to eat. Remember eat with care.

Did you know? According to The Nielsen Company, during the week leading up to Easter, there are 61,000,000 dozen eggs sold. That is 732,000,000 individual eggs. You can surely say that’s a lot of eggs.

"Happy Hour"

courtesy of minnlawyer.com

“Happy Hour” is an excellent time to socialize with your co-workers. You are no longer on your employer’s clock. You can talk as much you want and to whom you want. In the 1920’s the U.S. Navy enjoyed “Happy Hour.” This was the slang for the scheduled entertainment on board the ship. Happy Hour typical occurred during boxing and wrestling matches in which gave the sailors an opportunity to relieve stress.

“Happy Hour” typically runs Monday-Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm. Some bars/restaurants have a second “Happy Hour” shift which runs from 10 pm – 1 am during the same days. During Happy Hour,” bars/restaurants offer a discount on beer, wine, cocktails and may be some foods. If you did not know this, from the bar/restaurant perspective, “Happy Hour” helps boost their business.

Depending on what country you are from, “Happy Hour” may have a different offering. For example, in U.S., “Happy Hour” consists of discounted drinks with finger foods. In the Netherlands, instead of receiving a discount on drinks, the customer receives double the amount. In Italy, the discount applies to food, while the customer pays regular price for drinks.

No matter what the offer is during “Happy Hour,” many people love to mingle with co-workers after work along with enjoying a cocktail!

Even if you are not a drinker, discounted food and free time socializing with your co-workers is not a bad deal.

If you do drink, PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY and NO Drinking & Driving.

Can you share why you like or dislike “Happy Hour”? Go ahead, and add your comment

Thank you,

Deni Stainless Steel Three-Tier Food Steamer

About 2 weeks ago, my husband came in the house with a food steamer. At first, I did not have an opinion about the new gadget nor did I feel the desire to use it. My husband steamed some vegetables, but I did not have any since I already ate or wasn’t hungry. One day he steamed some broccoli and put the leftovers in the fridge. It was the next day and I was trying to figure out what I was going to eat with my turkey burger. I saw the broccoli, so I decided to compliment my burger with some broccoli. To my delight, the one day old steamed broccoli was so good and tasty. That same night, my husband steamed some asparagus and we both ate the asparagus with salmon cakes. I have to tell you the steamed asparagus was terrific.

Ever since then, we only use the food steamer to cook our vegetables. My husband used the food steamer to steam shrimp as well. We will be using this food steamer for other foods too.

Deni makes this awesome three-tier food steamer and it comes with a perfect instruction manual. I have to admit, at first, I did not use the manual, and as a result, my veggies were either over cooked or not cooked enough. My husband told me to use the manual, as the cooking time is right there. So, I finally decided to read the manual. I was thinking the manual would be too complicated. Ironically, the manual is very easy to follow. I have to say thanks to Deni for making this great food steamer along with including an easy to use instruction manual that also includes tips and hints.

With this three-tier food steamer, you can cook your entire dinner in just minutes. Plus the food steamer allows you to eat healthy. The price is amazing too, you can purchase this food steamer at Bed Bath and Beyond for only $39.99.

Go ahead; the only thing you have to lose is weight! To add to your weight lost, you can wear that perfect T-shirt to show off the new you!

Thanks,
Angela

Thank you, GOD!

Hello to my readers,
I hope all is well.

God is my almighty savior. God is there for me when I am doing good and feeling bad. No matter what, GOD listens to me and guides me on the right path. I may not know why a particular situation happened, but I do know GOD does not give me too much to handle. On the other hand, it may take time for me to understand why something happened. However, I know everything happens for a reason and in due time, I will come to understand that reason.

I may not attend church as often as I should. However, I worship and praise GOD every moment that I can. I read my Bible, listen to church music, speak about GOD, speak to GOD, and pray. GOD gives me the strength to help my family, others, and myself. I am truly grateful for having such a beautiful and wonderful person in my life. Thank you GOD for being by my side. I know whenever, I need GOD he is there for me with his arms and ears wide open to comfort and listen to me. GOD has laid a path for me and as long as I continue to believe and have faith, I will walk that path and fulfill my destiny.

Once again, thank you GOD!
